Psalm 92:12 “But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God.” I kill plants. Since I was a child, I’ve killed pretty much every plant that I touch. So when I decided to try gardening during lockdown, I was really asking for it. After destroying two batches of rosemary in the last couple months, I realized that I probably overwatered them especially given all the rain recently. I tried out some microgreens that grow indoors and the controlled environment seems to be working out much better. Bill Johnson talks about the spiritual greenhouse effect that allows the culture of heaven to come on earth. While many believers try to will their way into seeing a move of the Spirit, his framework relies more on creating an atmosphere that allows Him to move freely. You can’t force your way to faster fruits, but if you create the right conditions, they will appear naturally. Lord thank you that you’ve transplanted us into your house, where we have access to all the water, sunlight and nutrients we need. Please help me get out of the way, and to create the conditions so heaven can come to earth. I love you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
